Glowing Ghost

For this first project, I am using a glass lampshade that I got at a garage sale. I got four of them super inexpensive. You could also pick them up at a thrift store.

Using a permanent marker I'm going to just draw two eyes and kind of color them in like so. What I've created is an easy ghost.

Using a permanent marker I’m going to just draw two eyes and kind of color them in like so. What I’ve created is an easy ghost.

You can use a candle, glow sticks, a battery-operated LED, or tea lights, but what I’m going to do is place a solar light on the top and set this outside as ghost candles.

This one happens to be grenadine syrup and it's super old. I got it from my mother-in-law and she hasn't used it in years

Potion Jars

This next project is a super easy way to use plain glass jars to make potion bottles for this spooky season. You can use any bottle or recyclable jar that you want. This one happens to be grenadine syrup and it’s super old. I got it from my mother-in-law and she hasn’t used it in years. I don’t feel like we’re going to use it, but this red color makes it perfect to use as a potion jar. All I need to do is leave it like it is. If you don’t have grenadine you can just add water and food coloring to a container. You can make a green potion jar, a red potion jar, or anything you want. Maybe you want to add some plastic eyeballs or bugs in there as well. How simple is this?

If you want to you can leave it like this or you can take your lid and add some fun to it. You can also look for these Halloween transfers. I found these at the dollar store and they are like tattoos. You just cut them off and then use water to stick them on. With this being a dark color I’m not sure they’re really going to show up, but I have added them to colored water in the past and they work great.

If you want to you can leave it like this or you can take your lid and add some fun to it. You can also look for these Halloween transfers.

Here’s another example of a bottle you could use for a potion jar or Halloween candles for a spooky Halloween centerpiece. This is just a grape juice bottle that I’ve removed the label from.

I'm going to add some food coloring and then I'll place it outside.

Again, add water and food coloring and you can add a candle to the top or tattoos to the bottle. Here’s just another example of a shape you could use, to have some fun with the potions. I just finished adding the tattoo to this bottle. I’m going to add some food coloring and then I’ll place it outside.

These are just giant googly eyes from Walmart.

Monster Shrubs

These are just giant googly eyes from Walmart. You can find them at the dollar store too. I’m going to add them to some bushes outside in our yard to create a creepy monster. This is a great example of dollar store decorations that you can use to make a big impact in just a little bit of time.

This is another fun project that can be used all fall, which I love and it's such an easy project to store. I've just got some fabric and a toilet paper roll.

Toilet Paper Pumpkins

This is another fun project that can be used all fall, which I love and it’s such an easy project to store. I’ve just got some fabric and a toilet paper roll.

All I do is take the fabric and pull it up and stuff it in the hole.

All I do is take the fabric and pull it up and stuff it in the hole. You can pull it as tight or as loose as you want. I’m going to work my way around the toilet paper roll and again, you can make it as tight as you like and layer it however you want. Tuck it in to make it smooth like so and this is our base.

Then I just cut out a piece of felt and made a loop out of some pipe cleaner and to get this curly cue all you have to do is wrap it around a pencil

I have taken a stick from outside and I place that in the middle, which makes my pumpkin. Then I just cut out a piece of felt and made a loop out of some pipe cleaner and to get this curly cue all you have to do is wrap it around a pencil and then I place that inside and now I have this fun easy pumpkin and it’s also a toilet paper holder if you want but when you’re done with the season you just take all this apart and it packs Away really nicely
