Colorful Autumn Fall Leaves Coasters

Fall

Share it with others!

I love how vivid the colors are.

Using Plaid wooden leaves and some Folk Art Ultra Dye, I created some colorful coasters for my home this fall.

These are the wooden leaves by Plaid that I used to create my coasters.

I had some Folk Art Ultra Dye in a variety of colors and I was excited to give it a try.

I painted the inside of the leaves with Folk Art Ultra Dye

I also continued around the edge with the same color. I used Emerald City for this one.

I then painted the top with a different color - Venom.

Once the entire leaf was painted, I wiped off the excess with a paper towel.

One they were all painted I let them dry completely. Here are all the leaves and colors I made. Solar Power inside, and Pucker Up on leaf surface. Hot Flash inside, and Infra Red on the leaf surface. Emerald City inside, and Venom on the leaf surface. Rendezvous inside, and Raspberry Beret on the leaf surface. Lady Marmalade inside, and Purple Rain on the leaf surface.

I would be using these as coasters. You could seal them with Mod Podge if you like.

They were the perfect size for our cups.

Love these for fall. Really great idea. Seems like we are always decorating with pumpkins, flowers and other fall decor, but never thought about coasters. Great idea.
