Fall is a season that captures our hearts with its colorful landscapes, crisp air, and the aroma of spices dancing all around. As autumn arrives, warm sweaters, sweet apples, and pumpkin pie aromas fill the air, making it my absolute favorite time of the year! I love fall and so should you! From cozy sweaters to pumpkin crafts, there's so much to love about this season. Here are a few reasons.

What is the meaning of fall season?

What is special about autumn, you may wonder. Well, I have my point of view to share on the topic. With each falling leaf, fall paints a masterpiece on the ground, leaving behind its vibrant palette as nature’s poetic gift.

Why do I love fall so much?

“Autumn… the year’s last, loveliest smile.”

John Howard Bryant

I love fall because of its comforting rhythm, found in traditions like apple picking, pumpkin carving, and cozy evenings by the fire. The scent of cinnamon and nutmeg, the warmth of a homemade soup, and the joy of wrapping up in a favorite scarf all add to the charm of this season.

It doesn’t matter if you love to fall for the thrill of the spookiest holiday on the calendar or the comfort of Thanksgiving gatherings. Autumn creates moments to cherish. It’s a season that inspires creativity, whether through crafting, decorating, and cooking. These are just a few of the reasons why fall holds a special place in my heart.

I Love Fall: 23 Reasons Why Fall Is the Best Season Ever

Are you craving the warmth of blankets, the crisp air, and vibrant surroundings? If so, you’re in for a treat! Here’s why I love fall and autumn should become your new favorite season, too.

I Love Fall in Nature

1. I Love Fall Colors In Nature

You can use your leaves as they are or you can preserve them to keep the color.  If you leave them natural they will curl and change color as they dry, but it can be a beautiful and natural look.  To preserve them you'll need some Mod Podge and a paint brush.

The change of seasons brings a magical transformation to nature as trees turn their green foliage to vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. Whenever I am in nature during autumn, watching the changing colors of the leaves, with each step I take in the crunchy leaves, I immerse myself in its mesmerizing palette and feel grateful for the harmony and beauty around me.

You can see all of the fun ways I implement leaves, pinecones and more into my home for the fall season.

2. Embracing Coziness and Comfort

Here is my daughter hanging on the couch with the mermaid/shark tail.  When the kids are done playing with it, take the binder back out for your regular blanket.  If you want it to be permanent you can always cut the tail into the shape you want after putting the binder in.

As the temperature gradually drops and the cool breezes send chills down our spines, comfy sweaters and a warm blanket come in handy!

If you’re looking for a project for this fall, here’s a cozy, no-sew, quick & easy mermaid tail blanket to check out! It’s probably what you’re looking for.

3. It’s Harvest Season

Dinner In A Pumpkin Ingredients

Autumn is synonymous with a bountiful harvest: a symbol of abundance and gratitude. The fields and gardens are full of gourds, apples, and corn. Visiting the local farmer’s markets or picking your own produce helps your health and supports local farmers.

I Love Fall Vibes

As fall approaches, we often find ourselves drinking pumpkin spice lattes, walking through colorful parks, feeling the crisp fall air, and the comfort of warm sweaters. Here’s what else I love about fall: the very best season every one of us expects.

4. Autumn Is a Time of Change and Transformation

Fall is a gentle reminder that change is an integral (an unavoidable) part of life’s journey. Just as trees shed their foliage to make it through the cold winter and create space for new growth, autumn encourages us to let go of what no longer serves us and welcome new beginnings and a fresh start in our lives.

5. Cool and Crisp Fall Air

Yep, it’s that time of the year, when you need to rotate your summer clothes with your favorite fall clothing and chunky blankets!

6. Sweater Weather

Fall fashion is all about layers, and there’s something so stylish and comforting about slipping into your favorite sweater or hoodie. Embrace the opportunity to wear some trendy outfits with cozy knits!

7. Bonfires and S’mores

I'm going to move that aside and now's time to put my s'more together simply putting the graham cracker on and pulling off the marshmallow.

Fall cold nights exist for gathering around a crackling bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and creating cherished memories with loved ones. The warmth of the fire and the laughter shared under the stars can easily turn the fall weather into your new favorite part of the year.

8. I Love Fall And The Time For My Favorite Books

Autumn is perfect for curling up with a good read, wrapped in a cozy blanket as the fall winds blow the foliage outside. It’s the ideal season to revisit your favorite books or explore new adventures by the fireside.

9. Catch Up With Your Favorite Movies

With cozy nights and seasonal treats, fall is the perfect season for binge-watching movie favorites. Snuggle up and enjoy a season or two of your favorite TV show as the weather cools down and it’s not so much fun to spend time outside.

10. I Love Fall Because It’s A Board Game Time

Cooler weather means more time indoors, making fall perfect for board games with family and friends. Gather around the table for some laughter, strategy, and a little friendly competition.
