More pumpkin craft ideas include:

  • Paper plate pumpkin craft – paint a paper plate orange, add a green pipe cleaner for vines, and use glue sticks to create lines on the pumpkin and sprinkle on some pumpkin spice. Our family would do this with a bunch of paper plates and our kitchen smelled so good when we hung these on the refrigerator. You can even make your own “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” by using square paper plates. This is a great project for young children.
  • Decorate real pumpkins with paint, dry-erase markers, sharpies, etc.
  • Yarn pumpkins are a fun craft and kids of all ages can have fun making this simple craft. Grab a styrofoam pumpkin and hollow out the center. Use yarn to loop around the styrofoam pumpkin until the whole thing is covered. Place a cinnamon stick in the center for a stem.
  • Make a tissue paper pumpkin craft by using mod podge and gluing many squares of tissue paper onto a glass bottle.
  • Pumpkin rocks – this is a great pumpkin activity for arty crafty kids. Simply have fun painting rocks orange and turn them into awesome pumpkins
  • Make an easy button pumpkin by gluing several orange buttons in a circle onto a canvas.
  • Make a gratitude pumpkin by having everyone write something they’re grateful for on a real or faux pumpkin. White pumpkins are great for this as you can see the writing more clearly.
  • Easy paper pumpkins or Construction paper pumpkin – Create these easy pumpkins by cutting orange construction paper into a pumpkin shape and using green construction paper for a stem. When it comes time for October change these into Halloween crafts by adding a little black construction paper to make a Jack O Lantern face.
  • Make toilet paper roll pumpkins or a cardboard tube pumpkin craft by painting the tube orange, or you can loop yarn through these as well.

These projects are a fun activity for the entire family! These fun ideas can create adorable pumpkins whether you need easy crafts with a fine motor activity for little hands to something for older kids and adults. Create several of these art projects and you have your own pumpkin patch.
