instructions For Dollar Tree Planters Organizer
1. Paint the tomato cage for the organizer base
I grabbed this tomato cage from my garden but you could easily get these at any local store I grabbed some Rust-Oleum metallic spray paint in the color black. I used a rubber glove to protect my hand and I spray-painted the entire tomato cage black so it would blend in with the flower baskets. I let this dry completely before moving on.
2. Prepare the Dollar Tree Planters
While that was drying I removed all of the chains and tags from the flower baskets.
3. Remove the legs from the Tomato Cage
Now that the tomato cage is dry I’m going to flip it over so that the top is the bottom and the legs are standing straight up. I need to cut these legs off. I used a bolt cutter because it was handy, but you can use whatever you would like.
3. Assemble the Dollar Tree planter organizer
Now it’s time to assemble the baskets. It turns out that the top basket fit right on the top of the tomato cage so I removed the clips from that one and placed it right on top. I added those clips to the next one as I needed two clips to reach out to the edges. I used the clips to hang the second basket underneath.
The baskets have holes in them so I bought 2 small cute confetti bowls from Dollar Tree to place in the baskets. I simply removed the labels from the bottom and placed those into the baskets to provide a solid base.
