How To Organize Bathroom Drawers

Organize

Share it with others!

Do you want to know how to organize bathroom drawers? All you need to do is clean declutter, and add baskets to be organized.

Are you looking for bathroom drawer organization ideas? I love organization projects and finding the easiest ways to sort items to make the most of a small space. After opening my bathroom drawers one morning I knew it was time to organize my master bathroom again. Just a little cleaning, decluttering, and a few plastic bins from the dollar store, and it’s organized again. Today I want to share the basic steps to organizing your bathroom cabinets so you have easy access to everything you need.

Here's the before shot - too much stuff! it was falling over each other, I couldn't find what I needed, and it was time to get to work.

Here’s the before shot – I have enough room in my bathroom vanity drawers, but way too much stuff! it was falling over each other and nothing was within easy reach. It was time to get to work.

The first step was removing everything out of the drawers and cabinet. I also went through everything and got rid of anything I wasn't using, was old, etc.

The best way to begin is by removing everything from the drawers and cabinets. I went through everything and got rid of anything I wasn’t using, was old, etc.

I vacuumed and wiped out all of the drawers and the cabinet under the sink.

I vacuumed and wiped out all of the drawers and the cabinet under the sink. You can add drawer liners at this point if you would like.

I ran to the dollar store and grabbed some inexpensive baskets to help with my organizing.

I ran to the dollar store and grabbed some inexpensive bathroom drawer organizers. Using plastic containers of different sizes is a great way to store items and make the most of every square inch of space available.

I placed the baskets into the drawers and filled them with the items that made sense.

I placed the small baskets into the drawers and filled them with similar items. You can use a different container for skincare products, beauty products, hair products, makeup brushes, hair elastics, etc. This will clear off your bathroom counter so you have a clean, uncluttered space.

I went through all 3 drawers doing this same process.

I went through all 3 drawers doing this same process. This is the perfect way to keep small items from rolling around in the drawers and you can reserve the deep drawers for larger items.

I was able to put some of the back up supplies in the back as well.

I created a basket of cleaning supplies to keep in my bathroom. This would make it easy to clean anything in my bathroom at any time.

I placed it under the sink area in my cabinet.

I placed it under the bathroom sink in my cabinet.

I also added a tension rod under the sink to keep my cleaning sprays easily accessible for cleaning. I'm thrilled at how clean and organized it all is.

You can add a little vertical storage space by adding a tension rod under the sink. This is the perfect place to hang cleaning sprays so they are easily accessible. I’m thrilled with much bathroom storage I have now and how clean and organized it all is.

What are the best drawer organizers?

There are several to pick from, and I like using baskets from Walmart or the Dollar Store for inexpensive and effective options.

How do I organize my vanity drawers?

First empty out your drawers and eliminate anything you don’t need, don’t like, or is expired. Next vacuum and wipe out your drawers. Measure your drawers and buy baskets to organize your drawers. Place items back into the drawers but only what you need.

Thank you so much for sharing your story Melody and I’m excited for you and your crafting room. It’s so fantastic to have a space to create in, and I totally appreciate that. I also am thrilled about your painting upcycles… that will make you even more excited to go into the room knowing you created it all.

I love the tension rod idea! We recently sold our home and are building new, so I can’t wait to organize the drawers and closets. Thankfully, we got rid of alot before moving so I’ll have less mess going forward! #TrafficJamWeekend

I have one catch-all basket per drawer for some reason. I like how you filled each of your drawers with as many that would fit. I am going to buy some more baskets! And a tension rod!!
