- Christmas Inflatables: Large inflatable decorations, such as Santa Claus, snowmen, reindeer, or other holiday characters, add a whimsical touch to your yard. They’re easy to set up and can quickly become the focal point of your decorations.
- Luminaries: Line your walkways and driveways with paper bag luminaries or LED-powered pathway lights. They offer a warm and inviting glow, guiding visitors to your front door.
- Wreaths and Garland: Hang wreaths on your front door and windows, and drape garlands along porch railings, fences, or around pillars for a festive look.
- Outdoor Christmas Tree: If you have a tree in your yard, consider decorating it with outdoor-friendly ornaments and lights. You can even place gifts wrapped in weather-resistant paper at its base.
- Holiday Yard Signs: Use wooden or plastic yard signs with holiday messages like “Merry Christmas” or “Joy to the World” to add a welcoming touch.
- Christmas Projectors: Projection lights can create stunning displays on the exterior of your home, projecting images of snowflakes, swirling patterns, or even holiday scenes.
- Lighted Pathway Candy Canes: Line your pathway with large candy cane decorations that light up. They add a touch of whimsy and guide guests to your doorstep.
- Outdoor Nativity Scene: If you celebrate the religious aspect of Christmas, a beautifully arranged nativity scene can be a significant addition to your yard.
- Christmas Music: Place outdoor speakers to play soft Christmas music, which can add to the festive atmosphere.
- Christmas Topiaries: Consider shaping shrubs or trees into festive shapes like cones or spheres and adorn them with lights or ornaments.
- Outdoor Fire Pit or Chiminea: If it’s cold in your area, an outdoor fire pit or chiminea can provide warmth and a cozy gathering spot for friends and family.
- Ice Luminaries: Freeze water in containers of various sizes to create ice luminaries with candles inside. These can be placed around your yard for an enchanting look.
- Snowflake Silhouettes: Cut out snowflake patterns from plywood or foam board and paint them white. Place them on walls or hang them from trees to create a winter wonderland feel.
Remember to prioritize safety when decorating, especially when using electrical connections and lights. Use outdoor-rated extension cords, secure all decorations properly, and avoid overloading electrical circuits.

You are the most creative lady. I love the bells too. And what would we do without dollar stores.
Thank you for the kind words Sharron, and I’m thrilled you like the bells. You are so right, thrift stores and dollar stores are so great!
I don’t understand the total commitment to HOT GLUE…. It is a totally wonderful product… as long as you don’t depend on it , alone, for everything… In very warm (90+) or rather cold (under 40 degrees) it will LET GO and all the work falls apart. Hot Glue works really well to hold things together UNTIL a regular craft (Aleene’s Tacky Glue, etc.) or heavy duty glue (Gorilla Glue, or E6000) dries or cures. I have literally watched a favorite pine cone wreath slowly ooze apart in our Arizona weather while stored in the garage… and hot glue pop right off of anything glass when it is cold (or rainy). Using it in combination with a permanent glue works better… all the time!
Thank you for sharing.
