Check out all the summer decor. It’s rolling in. All the party supplies that you need are here with spending a lot of money. Grab some of these leis, wrap them around a wreath form, and you have an instant summer easy wreath for home-decorating.
Dollar Tree Fourth of July Decorations
Let’s start with the Fourth of July dollar tree decor. You can see there’s so much here. But let’s talk about a couple of DIYs. I love to get crafting supplies at the dollar store for my DIY projects.
Dollar Tree DIY 4th of July Decor
Dollar Tree has bandanas. They are perfect decorations when hosting a patriotic party. Here are DIY ideas on how I use them on my patio. I love the festive look on my patio with the stars and stripes. You could use scarves to make these DIYs, but I like the rustic look of the bandanas for my outdoor parties.
DIY Patriotic Patio Decorations
They usually sell two bandanas for $1.20. Open them up, tie them together, and create yourself a garland or banners for the porch. To hang this, I used a wreath suction cup, but you could easily use Command hooks, ribbon, or twine to hang them.
Another easy DIY is to make a tablecloth. Take a bunch of those bandanas and hot glue them or sew them together. It is your choice, whichever is easy for you. You can create a super easy and cute tablecloth or even a table runner.
Use those bandanas as reusable napkins, as well. I like to place them into a mason jar, which will be my glass, and place the silver inside for my place setting.
Patio Table Centerpiece
Here is another easy DIY idea for a patio table centerpiece. Grab a dollar store candle. Take one of those napkins and use the mod podge you can find at Dollar Tree to glue it to the candle holder. It will glow. Another option, instead of a bandana, is to glue a bunch of straws to the outside to create a fun candle holder.
These are just a few DIY ideas from dollar tree supplies that you can use to celebrate the summer season and enjoy the outdoors.

Outdoor BBQ Dollar Tree Summer Ideas
I’ve put drinks in those big blue tubs, and there are lots of supplies for your outdoor get-togethers.
Being outside in the summer, I love the ice cube trays. I grabbed a few. I can’t wait to show you what I’m going to do with them in a future video.
I love these snack trays as well. Not only can you put snacks for when you’re outside enjoying things, but I’ve used them for movie themes to serve a candy bar that kids can pick from when they’re watching a movie night. I’ve even put concrete in them to make them pavers and stepping stones. They have so many uses.

Dollar Tree Summer Activities for Kids
I’m going to share some of my favorite things as a crafty mom when it came to my kids during the summer season. One of the things that I have always loved about Dollar Tree was they had so many things to do and tricks to keep kids busy during the summer without the extra cost. Grab a frame while you are there and make this: Reusable Activities Kids To-Do List.
This is the store to get your shovels and pails here. You can get these cones and do fun things with your bikes out front or ring toss. There are a lot of summer activities with cones. I also love that they have water toys. I love these water balls. My kids played with those a lot. I’m going to show you a game you can play with them below.
These little waterers, butterfly catchers, and jump ropes are great activities for kids. I bought all of this stuff for my kids and it kept them busy all summer long. Also, amazing kites, at $1.25, you just can’t beat that. Frisbees are a great summer idea. I left these in the car, so I always had a fun game ready to go at anytime, anywhere.
Road Trip Hacks With Dollar Tree Finds
Another handy idea are these storage containers. These are a favorite find for traveling with kids. I used to grab these storage organizers all the time. I would put them in our car to go. They are great for carrying drinks, fries, and other snacks. Keep them handy for a summer travel road trip and on car rides.
This summer is a great time of year to stock up on things for kids to do, whether it’s at home, in the car, or while you’re waiting somewhere. I found these games at Dollar Store. Apples to Apples Jr is a great card game. Etch A Sketch was a must-have. I always had these in our cars. That way, whether we were in the car, on the road, at a park, or waiting at the doctor’s office, there was something for them to do. Flip-flops are back! I had to grab some of these. They’re great.
One of my other favorites are these blue sunglasses clips. I have these in all of our cars. They’re another must-have.
I know I’ve said it in the past, and I’m saying it again, always check out their book section. I even found one that’s been made into a motion picture. Look for a Hallmark book. I am picking this one up for myself. So many great books, always take a look.
Color forms are another great car ride activity for kids or for travel. These stick to themselves. It’s like a sticker that’s reusable again and again. I grew up with them and I love them. I bought them for my kids for road trips. They have themes where they basically can play a theme.
Here are more great things to do for your car rides: crosswords, word puzzles, coloring books, and more. Make sure to grab some of these while you’re there. Decks of cards are a great idea. And at the price of two for $1.25, they are a must-have.
Summer Outdoor Games
Sidewalk chalk, oh my gosh, yes! A necessity for the summer, as well. Look for skip jump rope things, too. I love those when I was a kid. My kids also love them.
Pool Noodle DIY Outdoor Games
Not only do they have the pool noodles back this year, but they also have these connectors so you could build cool connections and flotation things. I think this could be a lot of fun. I also noticed the kickboards are back. I’ve used those in the past to create tombstones during Halloween.

Let’s create some games with pool noodles, and yes, use these flamingos.
Grab some flags from Dollar Tree and place them on either side of the yard. Take some pool noodles, bend them in an archway, and use some skewers to hold them in place. Set up several of these. Blow up a beach ball. Now you have a fun game like croquet with your feet you can play in your backyard.
Use pool noodles to create this bumper setting. Add some water bottles and use a dollar store ball. You’ve created outdoor bowling.

Dollar Tree DIY Outdoor Games for Kids
Here are a few ideas of fun summer games from the dollar tree. We play these all summer long. But, these games are great activities for backyard summer parties, too.
Water Ball Toss
Grab six buckets and fill them with water. Fill the buckets with some water balls from Dollar Tree. You’ve created a fun water toss game. This is a great game to cool you down during the warmer summer months.
Flamingo Ring Toss
Put your flamingos together. Spread them out across the yard. Grab some dive hoops in the pool section. You can play ring toss.

Summer Decor Dollar Plus Section
And moving into the Dollar Plus section, check out these cute bags. Oh my gosh, I just love them. Also, the waterproof bags are must haves. I love those too. I have used those when going to the pool and beach. They are great bags for things that you want to wash off or you don’t want full of sand. Look for beach towels. Dollar Tree has cute beach towels that are just five bucks and a large selection.
Oh my goodness, I think I love this hat for just $3. I love these oversized water bottles and the sayings they have on them. What do you think? Like cute bag and cute hat, I think I’m ready for summer.
Then like this is huge! These are towel clips and I love them. They are super cute and the secret to holding beach or pool towels in place on windy days.
For additional fun for the kids, these water sprinklers and bubble makers are awesome. I always love the signs that they have for just five bucks. You can’t beat that price, and they’re so cute.
I grabbed some of these outdoor pillows and cushions. Let me show you how I use them in my yard.
I placed some of these cushions and pillows on our new patio furniture. I’m thrilled with how they turned out.
One little tip that I have if you have wind like we do, I just add little safety pins to the back to hold those pillows into place. The cushions on the bottom tie on, so those stay in place.
Check out these solar lights. I think these are super cool. With these, I think that you could easily put pictures inside of them so they glow. But just in general, I think this is an amazing ambiance that you could put on your front porch, your patio, and they light up. How great is that?
Here’s a little example of what I mean. I had a lantern once and I pulled it apart. I added some photos to it. Then when it turned on, you could see that the photos would glow. I love this DIY lantern with memories displayed as home decor.

More Dollar Tree Summer Decorations
I’ve always had this standing joke that when you go to the drive-thru, they say, “Do you want fries with that shake?” This plush is kind of like the perfect combo, with that in mind. This cone is fun and they have a hamburger too! You could have a whole set here: a hamburger, like your whole Happy Meal type thing, the full meal deal. But this guy, he’s going with me.
They have so many great socks right now. I am buying some of these for my stocking stuffers for next holiday season. Why wouldn’t you get them now, right?
Look for more home decor on a budget. I love the lids they have for mason jars. They can be air fresheners, they can be turned into vases, and I love the new soap pumps that they have for them. There are super cute decorative towels this season. I’m grabbed some of these just for decor in my home, but I’m also thinking about turning some of them into pillows. Even stain remover wipes on the go, let’s go! It’s travel season so I need some of these.
As you shop stock up on light-up cups and vases for DIYs. Look for the light-up cups. I think these would be great for this summer. They are cool. The vases have a lot variety of colors and look fancy. I can think of a lot of DIYs I can do with these. I stocked up.
I heard Dollar Tree prices were going up. Here’s an example. These sodas are $1.75. One thing I always buy are the bags. They are large bags for just $1.25. I love stocking up on these to use myself, use them as gift bags, or whatever I need. Then reuse them again.
I hope this is inspiration for you to stop by Dollar Tree and check out their new stuff.
