RED WHITE AND BLUE CRAFTS INSTRUCTIONS
1 Make a banner
I folded a bandana in a half to form a triangle shape.
I folded a second bandana into a triangle shape and then tied the 2 bandanas together. I continued doing this with bandanas until I made the desired length I needed for my banner or garland.
I placed 2 suction cup wreath holders onto my window outside on my patio. I tied the ends of my banner to the suction cups.
As you can see, I hung this banner on my window, but you could also hang it on a gazebo, railing, porch, deck, from your trees, etc.
2. Make A Tablecloth
I hot glued 3 bandanas in a row. This is my no-sew version, but you could alternatively sew these bandanas together if you prefer. I repeated this 3 times, so I had 3 rows of 3 bandanas each (using 9 bandanas total).
I hot glued each of the strips together to form a table cloth big enough to cover our patio table. You can easily adjust this to fit any size table you like.

3. create a place setting (mason jar craft)
I placed a bandana inside a mason jar and then in the center of that added silverware and a straw. The bandana will become a reusable napkin, and the mason jar will become a drinking glass. What a great way to be eco-friendly! You can even use beautiful blue mason jars for tons of fun and patriotic spirit.
4. Create a candle centerpiece
I hot glued straws around a tall skinny candle holder. You could use other adhesives if you prefer.
Other items you can use around the candle holder include a paper napkin or tie a bandana around the glass.
All of these simple supplies for the July 4th craft ideas might be red and blue ideas for our American holiday, but a great idea and added bonus is that you could buy any bandanas you like and make these projects for so many different occasions and home decor ideas. Even something that could be used any time of year! These don’t just have to be July crafts, some other party decoration occasions include:
- mother’s day
- father’s day
- backyard BBQs
- Labor Day
- Memorial Day
- fourth of July independence day
