Tumble Tower Holiday Game

I found this tumble tower game at Dollar Tree.  I love playing games during the holidays with my family and I knew just how to spruce this game up to build memories this holiday season.

Here’s a picture of the tumble tower that was at the Dollar Tree.

I recently got the Plaid Wood Burning Set and had been anxious to give it a try.

I counted how many blocks there were in the package, and came up with meaningful words to put on each block.

My game will be a gift, alternatively you could get the whole family in on picking words.

I didn’t want to use a marker to write the words as the ink often bleeds in the wood. I then used my wood burning tool and carefully burned the words into the wood. I didn’t worry about being perfect.

Here are all the words written on all of the blocks.

I stacked the game back up according to the package directions.

How to play the game – just like Tumble Tower or similarly the game Jenga… you carefully remove one piece without letting the tower fall.

When you pull out that word, you read it to the group. Then you can share what that word means to you, a story, or a memory. Continue taking turns until the tower falls.  What I love about this is that it can be played all year around as well.

  5. What a special game! I wish I had found this sooner. We have a large family get together every holiday, not just Christmas, and every birthday. I think we just love getting together…lol. I just found your blog through Hometalk. I’m loving what I’ve seen so far and will subscribe. Hope you have a speedy recovery! I’ve had both my knees done at the same time…took me 4-5 months to walk completely on my own except for going to work. I still needed canes and/or a walker to get around but within no time I was back walking completely on my own.
