Junk Art Valentine’s Day Sign

I was on one of my adventures through the local charity thrift store and found these few items and just knew they’d make a fun Valentine’s Day sign.

For this project I used:

A serving tray I had on hand from Dollar Tree

A heart shaped cookie cutter

Valentine Book Offer

A drawer handle

A horse shoe

Apple Barrel black paint

A paint Brush

Hot glue and glue gun

I started by painting the tray with the Apple Barrel black paint and let it dry completely.

I next hot glued on the handle to be the letter “I” in my sign.  You could use a stronger and more permanent adhesive if you like.

I next hot glued on the heart cookie cutter, and then the horse shoe so that the sign would say “I love you”.

I placed them in a picture stand for display. I love how it turned out and I can not only us

  5. This is so clever! I am not that creative. I can’t just walk around and see something in a pile of nothing. I usually need to start with someone else’s something and tweak it. 🙂
