I painted Mod Podge onto a dollar store ornament and then …

I sprinkled it with fake snow.

Let it dry and you have a beautiful snowball.

I also sprinkled another Mod Podge coated ornament into bead confetti and it dry.

I cut up some tissue paper and placed it onto the Mod Podge coated bulb. Then I added another coat of Mod Podge on top to seal it.

I used my hot glue gun to add sequin to a bulb.

You could use other glue as well.

Using that same technique, I hot glued pearl beads onto another bulb.

I cut up a dollar store hat, and hot glued the pieces onto a bulb. Love how cozy it looks.

I added self adhesive rhinestones to a bulb.

Love how this one sparkles!

I drew a snowman face on one of the bulbs.

Even kids can get in on the fun for most of these ornaments, and build memories at the same time.

Liberty
Thank you so much Liberty and love that you craft with your kids. What wonderful memories you’re creating.
I think I could probably stand in front of your tree for an hour looking and absorbing all of the ideas for your ornaments. Survived my church’s bazaar Sat.; after Christmas, I will shop for bargains and keep these ideas in mind for 2021! I am one of the few crafters and just love making ornaments!
Thank you so much Kathy, and I love that you’re a bargain shopper too 🙂
Have to be a bargain shopper in today’s world! Retired with a pension and severe craft addiction. Also Scotch-Irish-Polish, raised by a mother who grew up during the Depression and a ne’do well father so $$ was tight growing up. Gives me an excuse to thrift, yard sale, and bargain shop!
These ornaments are all so unique and creative, Chas! There’s definitely something for everyone. I love how they’re all inexpensive and the kids can help make them. My daughter would love the Mod Podge snowballs. My favorite is the red and white sweater ball. It was fun hopping with you again! Pinned 🙂
Thank you so much Rebecca, and love that you and your daughter could create memories with this. Always loving learning which one is the favorite. Wonderful crafting with you
So many cute ornament ideas, Chas! My favorite is the one you crafted from the dollar store hat–it reminds me of a cozy sweater! Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

great idea. I bet your tree looks wonderful. I want to try making some ornaments for a new tree I purchase this year. Ornaments can be expensive when decorating a tree so your craft share can really help the pocket book.

They are all so cute Chas! I started mentally listing my favorites, but then another one would come along, and I just can’t pick a favorite!! I think it’s so clever the way you cut up a Dollar store knit hat to make one, the pearls, sequins, snow…they are all fantastic!!I would love to see a photo of your whole tree decked out in all these creations!
Thank you so much Jenna, and thank you for sharing… I know it’s hard to pick sometimes. You’re right I should have taken a tree photo. Wonderful crafting with you.
Chas, I love them all, with the shiny glittery ones being my fav. You’ve given me some great ideas to upcycle my own tired looking bulbs into some serious holiday bling:)
