How do you make a wine glass candle holder? I created a snowman and reindeer candle holder for the holidays that I wanted to share with you.
I started with 2 oversized wine glass from the dollar store.
I poured Pledge Floor Cleaner into the glass. You could alternatively use hairspray or Mod Podge.
I twisted the glass around so that the whole inside was coated with the cleaner.
I dumped the remaining amount in the other glass.
I added white glitter and spun the glass around so that the glitter stuck to the floor cleaner.
I dumped out the extra glitter.
I repeated the same process with the 2nd wine glass only using gold glitter this time.
I bought a scarf from the dollar store, and cut a rectangle strip of fabric from it.
I hot glued that fabric around the wine glass creating a hat.
I used a rubber band to make the ball at the top, and I cut little slits in the fabric sticking out on top to create a little ball.
I hot glued buttons on for the eyes, nose, and the mouth.
For the second wine glass candle holder, I added some gold tinsel pipe cleaner to create antlers.
I cut a small ball off another dollar store decoration and hot glued it onto the wine glass to create a nose.
What can I do with an empty wine bottle?
I had a clear juice bottle that I removed the label from. I repeated the same process of adding the floor cleaner, swirling it around, and dumpling it out.
I added green glitter, swirled it, and dumped it out.
I added dollar store stick on rhinestones for ornaments.
I added a glass door handle to the top for a topper.
They were all ready! Next you add battery operated tealights to the top of the wine glasses. We’ll be placing ours on our dining room table for the holidays.
