I was at Dollar Tree and found a sign being clearanced out for .50, after that an old jello mold at a thrift store for .50. Using these 2 items plus some materials on hand, I was able to create a cute sign for the spring season for my home.

I used stencil tape and placed 2" Plaid stencils onto each section. There were 4 sections to this piece, and I painted on the letters H, M, and E on the 1, 3, and 4th sections. I used Folk Art Home Decor Chalk Paint in the color Nautical.

This is the old jello mold I found at the thrift store. I used the nautical paint on the center heart and let that dry. I traced the outer edge with blue permanent marker. Then I gave the whole blue section a coat of Sparkle Mod Podge to add some shimmer.

This is the old jello mold I found at the thrift store. If you don’t have a jello mold you can use a heart-shaped cookie cutter from the dollar store. I used the nautical paint on the center heart and let that dry. I traced the outer edge with a blue permanent marker. Then I gave the whole blue section a coat of Sparkle Mod Podge to give it a special touch with a bit of shimmer

I hot glued the heart in the second spot under the letter H. You could use another glue of your choice. The heart would represent the letter "O" and I had the word "Home" on the sign.

Are you looking to make a DIY Love Sign? This is such an easy and adjustable project that can me made for so many occasions.
Want an Easter Bunny Stop Here Sign? My daughter and I created a sign for the Easter Bunny years ago. It was time to update to a new one and also preserve the old one.
Once the sign was dry, I put it on my front porch for display.
How do you make a welcome sign for a front door? I found a chalkboard in the Target dollar section, and with stencil and some chalk turned it into an easy and beautiful welcome sign for my home.
I am absolutely thrilled with how all of these signs turned out. They will make great decor for my home and great gifts for others. I will probably leave some of these signs up for the entire winter season.
I love the Target Dollar Section and I found a chalkboard and a "Home" garland for just a couple dollars. I turned them into a trendy home sign!
I took the new sign outside and I sprayed it with Patricia Nimocks Acrylic Sealer and let that dry completely.
I have mine hanging on my front door. You could just use it for St. Patrick's Day or leave it up year around.
