Watering Can Yard Decor
I had a galvanized watering can that I wanted to do something with but wasn’t sure what. Then one day it hit me – make a simple watering can decoration for your yard or garden.

You’ll need a watering can, a yard stake (mine came from the Dollar Tree), and some beads. My beads actually were to decorate a vase and I believe I got these at Walmart. You can easily make your bead string.
Watering Can Yard Decor Video
I used a metal metal connector to attach the beads to the watering can spout. The metal connector looked like a keychain and I just opened it up and stuck one side end in one hole and the other side end in another hole.
I put my yard stake out in my yard, and simply hung the watering can on it. Stake is 3 feet & the watering can is 8 inches.
I’m planning on putting this in my flower bed. My flowers are just starting to grow back this year. The stake disappears and it looks like the can is floating.

How would you link to beads together?
Hi Sharon, great question. I would look for those little metal loops – kind of like key rings and use those. They come in a variety of sizes. They sometimes sell them in the jewelry section at craft stores, or hardware stores might have something as well.
Oh my gosh! So simple & easy. Every one I’ve seen before has been more than I want to do. I even have a plant hanger I can use! Thank you for sharing a simpler way to do this!
