1.  Measure out equal parts resin and hardner

1. Measure out equal parts resin and hardner

I measured equal parts of the Total Boat resin and hardener. I slowly poured both into a container together.

I stirred the mixture together for 3 minutes. Be sure to stir slowly to avoid bubbles.

I added some glitter into my resin and stirred it in very slowly to avoid bubbles.

5.  Prep the surface that the epoxy will go on.

I purchased some utensils and I taped the top and the bottom to help keep the resin on the handle. You could use hot glue or silicone that you could peel up as well.

I placed the utensils on a baking sheet coated with wax paper.

I poured the resin onto the utensils. I was careful to not over-pour, and I used the stir stick to place the resin where I wanted it to go.

7.  Let the resin sit for 24 hours

The resin needs to cure, so I let it sit for 24 hours. Isn’t the glitter lovely?

What is the best resin for jewelry? I have been working with Total Boat's Makerpoxy and created 3 different styles that are so easy! A little bit goes a long way and you'll be able to make several gifts for all occasions.
This was my practice run for a bigger project coming up.... I found a coffee table for $5 at a garage sale. I can't wait to do something like this on a bigger scale.
Once I was finished, I let the resin set for 24 hours to cure.
