One of the things I like about this bread is you don’t have to add all of the individual ingredients like all purpose flour or self rising flour, salt, butter, active dry yeast, etc. It’s a simple recipe, dump the ingredients in a large bowl, stir with a plastic, metal, or wooden spoon until the texture is sticky, and bake.

    1. Thank you so much Mary, you are so very sweet. I love that it can be adapted in a variety of ways and it’s healthier 🙂

    1. You’re so sweet, thank you so much Kim 🙂

  1. Not always easy to get fresh cranberries, could dried cranberries be substituted and should they be soaked first? Also if I add an egg and a bit of orange juice as you suggested, wouldn’t the batter be too thin and runny?

    1. I wouldn’t add several things in recipe. You could add dried cranberries and maybe an egg
or died cranberries and 2 T. of orange juice. Don’t use too many add in’s or don’t use a half of a
      cup of orange juice.

    2. You could absolutely use dried cranberries, and I don’t think there is a need to soak them first. If you opted to add the egg, I would only add 1, and just a splash of orange juice so it wouldn’t get to runny.

  2. Sounds good. However, at no point did you give the amount of cranberries.

    1. 1 Cup stated in the recipe.

    2. Thank you and I mention 1 cup of add-ins and that I’d be using cranberries in the ingredients at the top, and in the recipe card.
