Easy Recipe Holder

Decor and Decorating

Share it with others!

I found this wooden board at Target on clearance and knew I could upcycle and repurpose it in some way. I decided to make a versatile recipe holder with it.

Here's the original wooden board. It has a picture frame holder build in on back.

I had some of these clips on hand that came from the dollar store.

I added some E6000 glue to the back of the clip.

I pressed it onto the board and let it dry for 24 hours. I realize a board with a picture frame style back isn't something that's easy to find. You can use this same concept with a picture frame. Put a decorative picture inside and add the clip to the glass.

Very nice idea. I usually end up with my recipe book flat on the counter with a piece of plexiglass covering it to keep it clean.

What a cute idea! I rarely can come up with ideas like this on my own, but your idea of the recipe holder seems like something even I could do. 🙂 Thanks for the instructions.

Very cool! I think one of the most challenging things for me, is keeping a recipe easily accessible while I’m cooking. It sounds dumb, but I typically may throw a towel over a recipe, or cover it with a pan lid as I’m rummaging through a cabinet. So this is an excellent solution!

You are so sweet Crystal and I would love to have you as part of my blog family and community! I’m not sure if your viewing my website via computer or mobile device. If you are on computer, on the right side you’ll see a place to sign up under “Get your projects delivered”. Near the bottom of a post right above “About Chas” you can sign up there and it says… “Get your projects here”. If you are on mobile, it’s the same in the posts/projects, and on the home page, it’s towards the top – you’ll see my logo, then my latest 3 projects, then the sign up. If that is too complicated. you can email me through this link https://chascrazycreations.com/contact-me/ with your email address you want to use and I can manually sign you up 🙂
