Easy and Delicious Healthy Tuna Salad with Video

Healthy Tuna Salad Ingredients
- 1 can tuna
- 1, 8 ounce container non-fat Greek Yogurt
Optional ingredients include:
- Mayonnaise
- Tumeric
- Dill Pickles or pickle juice
- Cumin
- Avocado
- Mustard or Dijon mustard
- Salt and Pepper

Healthy Tuna Salad instructions
For this recipe we will start with some canned tuna. Open the can of tuna and drain it completely. This is easy to do if you leave the lid on so that you can press down and get it fully drained.
Just a side note, if you have pets the tuna juice will be a welcome addition to their regular food.
Place the tuna in a large mixing bowl. Break the tuna up so there are no big chunks.
Add one container of plain non-fat Greek yogurt. You can add as much or as little as you want, depending on your taste. Mix it all together.
You can also add a bit of mayonnaise, just know 1 Tb is 100 calories. You can really add any ingredients you like. I have provided some suggestions in the list above.
For this batch, I’ve added some chopped pickles, a little bit of Dijon mustard, and some pickle juice. I also added some salt, pepper and turmeric
Serve as a traditional sandwich on bread or serve with crackers, tortillas or as a lettuce wrap.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve or between servings. This is a great source of protein, has important omega-3, and wonderful fatty acids.

What are other ingredient substitutions?
If you like a texture or flavor variety, consider these.
- onion or red onions
- fresh herbs – parsley, fresh dill
- lemon juice
- relish
- feta or other cheese
- kalamata olives, or any variety of olives
- more veggies like cucumber, celery, tomatoes, bell peppers,
- instead of tuna you could make chicken salad
