I had some items laying around that I wanted to give a little “wow” factor too. Using some Main Street Decals I could easily complete 5 DIY Makeovers!

Here are the decals I wanted to use to update and makeover my different items. Most of the time people think of decals for their walls, doors, & cars. When I see them I think about all of the possibilities - lamp shades, windows, canvas art, furniture... The great thing about these decals is that you can easily remove them and change them up.

5 Easy DIY Makeovers Video

I took a glass block that I had on hand. You can easily get these from craft stores. I added a dollar store strand of lights to the the inside.

I picked up this cabinet door from the clearance section at IKEA for just a couple dollars. (Yes they have a clearance section ) I cleaned the glass first, then I added the decal "Hope is an Anchor for the Soul" to the glass.

Sun Catcher or Wall Art

This was an old pickle jar that I took the label off of and cleaned it out. I added butterfly decals to the outside, and added battery operated fairy lights to the inside.

I love how it turned out! Now I just need to update the lid of this jar. Any ideas?

Now it's ready to be filled with fun items and given as a gift, or I can use it in my home.

I had this wrought iron mirror that I felt needed a little something to it. I added some flower decals for spring and summer. Remember they come off easy too - so I can change this up for the other seasons as well.

  9. Chas, I would have never thought of using decals these fun and clever ways— thanks for the creative inspiration! I especially like the glass block and jar. Perhaps you could top the lid with a silk flower with a butterfly perched on it? Like my sunflower fascinator?
