I wanted to give a update a few things around my home because I thought they were a little plain. Using some Main Street Creation Decals I did 7 DIY Makeovers one might not have thought of doing.
Update a Desk
Remember my free filing cabinet that I turned into a desk? Well I thought the back of it looked kind of boring. You can find the desk tutorial here – How To Turn A Filing Cabinet Into A Desk
I added some inspiration and fun Main Street Creations decals to it.
I decided to add some to the side as well. Now my desk inspires me even more.
Give a plain candle holder a makeover.
I added an inspirational decal to a plain candle holder.
This would make a great gift idea as well.
Update a plain lampshade
I added a sunflower decal to my plain lamp shade.
Now it has a fun glow. You could easily switch these decals out per season.
Update a plain door
My pantry door is right in the middle of my kitchen. I added this decal that is so my husband and I.
Update an appliance
Add these decals to any appliances you have – microwaves, refrigerators, washers/driers, etc.
Make a travel lap/activity tray
Going on a road trip? Add this United States decal to a baking sheet, and you have a tray that the kids can put on their laps. They can do activities, use magnets, eat on them, and use a dry erase marker to map out the trip or cross off states you went through.
This is a chest my grandpa made. I painted it white but felt it was still a little plain.
I added some Main Street Creations decals to it and love it.
