It sits by my front door welcoming people. I love how I'll be able to change up the words per month, or season.

Do you love the Farmhouse look but not the price? I found a picture frame at a garage sale, and I’m sharing how I turned into farmhouse decor for cheap.

When I pulled the frame apart I found that the center piece was a separate innsert.

I wiped and cleaned everything first. Then I painted the picture frame with White Folk Art Home Decor Chalk Paint.

Once that was dry I added E6000 to the back of the frame.

I then placed the glass piece back into the frame onto the glue.

I took a small magnet, and painted it white.

I purchased these metal word sets at Dollar Tree. They were 3 per set, and I'll continue to look for more of the seasons to add to the collection.

Great idea! I have a frame almost identical and a metal word – need this for my home office! Right now the metal word is stuck on my file cabinet, not nearly as nice as your idea.

What a great idea! It is so much easier just to swap the word rather than the whole frame every time you want a change.

Chas, this is such a brilliant idea (to add am magnet!). I love that idea, that way you can change out the words or sayings for the different Holidays or seasons. Brilliant, my friend!

I love this! I’m curious as to why you chose chalk paint? Do you plan on writing your own words on the frame? I have a green frame similar to this I’ve been saving for a project….

Thank you Lori. I used chalk paint because that is what I had on hand and I knew it would have great coverage. I haven’t thought about writing my own words, but that is a great idea. I’m so excited you want to give this project a try.
