I started with a recycled jar. I washed it and then wiped it down with rubbing alcohol to make sure it was good and clean for the next step.

I added foil stickers to the front and the back of the jar that would reflect what the jar would represent.

I added a slotted lid to the top of the jar. This lid I was lucky enough to score at the Dollar Store.

When everyone is ready, open the jar and read what everyone has written. It'll create great conversation. I love that we'll be able to use this every year and we could even leave it out all year.

Your jar is simply lovely, my friend. We made one of these a few years ago and we all so enjoyed putting in things that we were thankful for. So thankful for you, Chas!

Hi Chaz, You are the best, you have so much energy I wish I had as much. The work you do is wonderful & beautiful. I have a question for you not pertaining to this project. I have been having a problem trying to get streaks off my stainless steel refrigerator I think I’ve tried everything? Could you suggest anything I could do to remove them. I would appreciate any help you could suggest. Thank you.
    Have a great week

    1. Hi Joanne, that is a great question! so stainless steel streaks when it’s dry and needs to be moisturized. I wipe mine off to get any finger prints, gunk, etc off, then dry it. Once it’s dry, I take a microfiber cloth and wipe olive oil onto the stainless, wiping in the direction of the grain of the stainless.
