We were planning on escaping to the mountains for the July 4th holiday, but the mountain fireworks display wound up getting canceled. Plus, my sweet husband is playing some special music for the residents at a local assisted living community on the 4th, so we decided to head home for the weekend instead. It’s not quite the mountain getaway we expected, but honestly, sometimes a quiet weekend at home is exactly what the doctor ordered!
