Chas’ Crazy Little Letter: Plumbing Disasters & Dollar Tree Porch Hacks
First of all, thank you so much for all the sweet get-well wishes! I am happy to report that I am feeling so much better.
However, while my husband was still out of town visiting his family, I had quite the unexpected surprise. I had a sink drain that just would not unclog, and it turns out the dishwasher next to it was also backed up… right into our furnace room! Let me tell you, cleaning up a water mess like that all by yourself while you are still recovering from a cold is no fun at all!
But, I always try to find the silver lining. Being forced to sit down and rest gave me the perfect excuse to catch up on some movies! I finally watched the Hallmark movie Guiding Emily. I had actually met the author of the book, Barbara Hinske, who is an absolute delight, and she even autographed my copy! I highly recommend reading the book first, of course, but it was such a heartwarming story to enjoy while I recovered. Now that I am back on my feet, it’s time to get our outdoor spaces ready for the beautiful Colorado summer!

I’ll show you how I easily clean my wrought iron furniture, my favorite budget-friendly trick for getting rid of those pesky weeds, and a few fun summer DIYs!
