I placed the wick in the center of the box and used the wick holder to keep the wick in space. If you use a bigger carton you can hold the wick in place with a pencil, or something longer.

I added the soy wax to the stainless container that the kit came with. This soy wax is non toxic, and unscented. If you wanted to add scent to it you could easily add an essential oil to it after it's melted and stir it in.

I placed a pot with water in it on the stove top and waited for it to boil. I then placed the stainless container into the boiling water and stirred constantly with the spoon provided and watched the wax melt. This particular kit came with the instructions that said to melt the wax this way.

Once the wax was melted, I placed crushed ice into the carton. If you didn't want to make an ice candle you could skip this step. I will tell you I used too much ice and it made the candle a little crumbly.

I poured the melted wax into the carton over the ice. If you were skipping the ice you would just pour the wax into this form.

You could pour the wax directly into a glass or recycled jar if you like instead.

Let the wax cool for several hours or overnight. Carefully peel the box open to revel your candle. If making an ice candle some melted water will pour out of the candle.
