Equipment

  • None

Ingredients

  • Pizza Pan
  • White Paint
  • Yellow Paint – 2 shades
  • Galvanized Word
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Twine
  • Paint Brush

Instructions

  • I started with a pizza pan from Dollar Tree. Now, to be honest, this pizza pan was actually one of my old ones and I had updated it to a new one for my kitchen. I cleaned it up and got it ready to paint.
  • I spray-painted the pizza pan with some white spray paint I had on hand from other projects. It was a paint and primer all in one so I was able to cover it in one coat. I let that dry completely before moving on.
  • Once the white paint dried, I use a pencil to draw a lemon design onto my pizza pan.
  • I used a yellow permanent marker to color in the edge of the pizza pan. This was just to show that you can opt to use permanent markers or paint. Whichever one you prefer.
  • I used Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Lemon paint to color in the lemon segments on the pizza pan. After all of the sections painted, I let that dry completely.
  • I used a soft bristle brush and applied some Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Sunflower paint to add some dimension and texture to the lemon sections. You could add some seeds into this step if you want.
  • I cut a section of twine, made a knot to create a loop, and I hot glued it onto the back of the pizza pan so I would be able to hang the lemon wreath up.
  • I hot glued a galvanized “welcome” word onto the front of the pizza pan. You can find these galvanized words at a lot of stores, and I found mine in a set of 3 at Dollar Tree. They sell different sets of 3 during the seasons at the store.
  • I made a bow out of some burlap ribbon I had from other projects and I hot glued it onto the Dollar Tree Wreath.

Notes

I’ll be hanging this on my front door that is under a covered porch. You could hang it inside or out. If you want to hang it outside and it will be exposed to the elements, I recommend coating the pizza pan with dishwasher safe Mod Podge before adding the galvanized word and ribbon.
