An Easy and Awesome Way To Paint Ceramics And Upcycle Thrift Store Decor

Did you know you can paint ceramics? I found this ceramic bunny at the thrift store for $1 and I knew just how I wanted to upcycle him so he’d look like he was from Pottery Barn!

Ingredients

  • A ceramic item
  • Spray Paint of your choice – I used Krylon Looking Glass Mirror Paint

Instructions

  • I washed my ceramic piece and removed the tags from it along with any sticky residue.
  • I followed the directions on the can and spray-painted my bunny. I used Krylon Looking Glass spray paint. I would recommend a paint with a built-in primer.
  • I followed the instructions for the time between additional coats.
  • Once I got the look I wanted, I let it dry completely.
