Faux Tree Candle Holders

Fall· Winter

I recently made some real tree branch candle holders but I realized not everyone wants to saw and drill.  I came up with a way for you to still enjoy the same look in a simpler and inexpensive way to make them yourself!

Once you've made them, they're ready to be placed where you like.

How To Make Real Tree DIY Candle Holders For Free

Fall· Winter

We love the outdoors at our house.  I have always loved the look of the tree branch candle holders, but oh my goodness the prices!!!  We were just in Grand Lake, Colorado camping over Labor Day and I saw some in a store for $15 each.  We recently had an aspen tree pass away at our house and cut it down.  We saved some of the branches and we made our own aspen branch candle holders!

Once we got home & I changed up the solar light. I opted to not spray paint the candle holder for now, but you certainly could.

Candle Holder to Traveling Solar Holder

Outdoor

We always bring solar lights with us when we camp. The ground is sometimes very hard and I end up breaking the plastic stake that comes with the solar light. This is exactly what happened to me on our camping trip. While in town sightseeing, I spotted a thrift store and found these candle holders…

You're done!  It's ready for your front porch.  The great part is you can just face the pumpkin part forward during September and November.... &

Easy Front Porch Fall Decor

Fall

I would say I’m a seasonal decorator.  It’s a really easy way to change up what your home looks like without a ton of expense.  As I gear up for fall (one of my favorites), I have a collection of items I bring out for 3 months.  I figure I have this fall stuff, I should bring it out Sept-Nov at least.  I will bring out some accents for Halloween but if it’s a pumpkin, leaves, etc – it’s out for all 3!  I like to look at the stuff I have and ponder how I could make it different to fit the season.  I have seen people decorate with mum which I love and with pumpkin buckets.  I just wanted my pumpkin bucket to look a little more real and as you’ll see in the end it’ll work great for Halloween too!

Perhaps above your eating area in your kitchen or dining room, or maybe above your mantel and fire place... there are so many possibilities!

Natural Fall Decor With Leaves

Fall

Fall leaves are so beautiful, especially if you are lucky enough to live in a place where there are so many colors.  I have preserved fall leaves so many different ways – drying them, ironing them in wax paper, and Mod Podge preserving them.  After you do all the preserving what to do with them?  This year I’m using some natural fall decor in my home.  I have pinecones on my mantel, and I wanted to do something with leaves.  I have had this branch for a few years know trying to thing of the right project – then I realized – this is it!!!  Find out what I’m doing now…
