Hi Everyone! Today I’m sharing my my review of my Comlife Bug Zapper & Indoor Insect Killer. Many of you know I am not the biggest fan of chemicals, and when I was approached by ComLife Company to review their chemical free insect killer I was all in!
The bug zapper can be purchased at Amazon. I received mine and it was packaged well.
Inside the package is the unit itself, directions, and the ability to set down on a table or the hardware to hang it on a wall. The cord on the bottom is the LED on/off switch, and the unit needs to be plugged in to work.
The unit was bigger than I was expecting. Here is a picture of my hand with it to show you the size.
Here is a picture of the back of the unit.
On the side of the unit you’ll see the bug collection tray.
Here is the tray pulled out for you to see.
I decided to set it on a side table in our family room. This room has vaulted ceilings and is close to our back door where everyone goes in and out all of the time and let all the bugs in.
How it works – the LED/UV light attracts the insects into the unit and it kills them instantly with a voltage charge. It is silent, kills bugs from the front & back, only uses 5 Watts of power, kills with no chemicals (radiation free), and is safe around kids and pets. It is for indoor use only.
It works best in the evenings and night of course so that the bugs are attracted to the light.
My experience – It is definitely quiet, easy to use and clean, and the directions are easy to follow. I have had it up for a few days as it’s moth season here where I live. Each morning the center is coated with many variety of insects not just moths, and the bug tray is full too.
Here is the picture of the bug tray after one night in our house. You might not be able to tell but there was a beetle in there as well as a couple spiders – yuck!
Unscrew 3 screws in the back to clean the inside and you can see all the different kinds of bugs that this thing killed over night. It was easy to clean – vacuum it off and or wipe off with a rag.
I was extremely pleased with the the results and am excited to continue using this bug zapper in my home. I truly hope they’ll make an outdoor version as well!
