Tea Cup & Mug Exchange Reveal

Tea Cup & Mug Exchange Reveal

My daughter and I have participated in a bi-annual tea cup and mug exchange for a while now.  I ran across it myself in a blog, and it lead me to the wonderful lady, Stephanie, who leads it on her blog The Enchanting Rose.

How it works – you sign up for to exchange a tea cup, mug, or both and she pairs you up.  When I say pairs you up, I mean she reads every entry and looks for similarities with who she puts you with – there is no random selection thing going on here.  Not only does she pair you up with a specific person to give your items to, she pairs you up with a different person to receive your items from.  Therefore as she says – you make 2 friends in the process of giving once.

All you are required to do is give your tea cup/mug and one other item of your choice.  From my experience, everyone generally goes above and beyond because they are having so much fun with it.

This was the 11th tea cup & mug exchange and had over 200 participants world wide!

My daughter and I both sent ours off – mine to Michigan and my daughters off to Florida.  My new friend Deborah in Michigan likes many of the same things I do.  Just the most delightful person.  You can find her blog here:  The Beautiful Matters

*You do not have to have a blog to participate.

Here is what we received…

Mine traveled up from Texas…

I received this very large box – I felt like a little kid, so excited.

The first thing I see is a Happy Fall Y’all – one of my favorite seasons, couldn’t be more perfect!

Oh my goodness, and everything was wrapped up!  Wow all the time and thought…

Upon opening each item – a fantastic tea mug, and tea bag plate, hot pad, towel, soap, candle, notebook and note cards, and the most delicious apple cider tea!!!  I was treated so well!  Thank you “Snap” 🙂  Hugs to you my new friend.  You can find her website here:  Tales From Twisty Lane

Now for my daughter’s package…

She received the following package from her new friend in Pennsylvania.

My daughter was so thrilled when she got her package.  Again, such a generous gift and all of the things she loves.  She is making tea and hot chocolate in her new mug almost daily!

Such an amazing event and opportunity to build community and friendships!  I truly love this event and look forward to it 2 times a year!!!

If this is something that interests you – just sign up for Stephanie’s blog and watch for the next one.  It’ll be this spring…  The Enchanting Rose.  Stephanie also has an amazing store of homemade sewn items like coasters, tea bag wallets, pot holders, hand towels, etc.  You can find her shop here:  Rose Petal Blessings

A special thank you to my dear friend Stephanie for putting this event together!  Hugs!

  • I had to laugh at the kid-at-Christmas thing! I think we all feel the same way. It’s so much fun to select and pack up a box, and so much fun to receive and open one. The ladies in this exchange are so generous and warm-hearted, and I think a lot of it has to do with the sweet spirit of Stephanie. I saw in the comments that you met Debbie and Stephanie at the Dusty Rose tea room. I’ve been there twice while visiting my mom and sister in Colorado to see Stephanie (twice) and Debbie (once). I’ve been able to meet 8 bloggers in person, none of them here in Michigan, so I feel very grateful. xo Deborah

    • Good Morning Deborah, so great to hear from you 🙂 It is quite an amazing event, and the positivity it creates is outstanding. I agree Stephanie is so wonderful and she puts so much time, effort, and care into it. I would love to meet up with you the next time you are in Colorado. Would be great to have tea with you, Stephanie, and Debbie – perhaps other bloggers as well. Wouldn’t that be a real treat 🙂 Hugs to you my friend, so glad to have meet you through this wonderful exchange.

  • Oh, Chas- how wonderful Deborah picked you. I have met her, she is a doll – and gives such lovely gifts. In fact she gifted me a few years ago the most wonderful “friend” candle, that I burn sparingly b/c I love it so much – and I happen to be burning it as I type this! The whole house smells awesome.

Love your treasures – so happy you enjoyed the swap. They’re FUN!!!

PS – maybe you can meet Deborah when she goes out west again? Wouldn’t that be fun!
