Inexpensive Laundry Room Makeover
When we bought our house almost 17 years ago it was only 1 1/2 years old.  Sadly it was not in the best of shape when we bought it.  Over the years we have updated it, fixed things that broke, all the things you do to your home.  Then there is my entry way laundry room.  This is not a room I spend "quality" time in.  I have mostly ignored it, done a few things here and there to better organize it, etc. Recently I noticed that the cabinets were turning yellow in between the cracks.  It started to annoy me and I decided to give the room a little love - but on a very tight budget.… (0 comment)

Family Fingerprint Tree
I love making things that bring my family together.  I am always looking for ways to preserve our kid's growing up and the family we have made.  This is easy art the whole family can create, and have a fingerprint keepsake.… (4 comments)

Faux Tree Candle Holders
I recently made some real tree branch candle holders but I realized not everyone wants to saw and drill.  I came up with a way for you to still enjoy the same look in a simpler and inexpensive way to make them yourself!… (14 comments)

Real Tree Candle Holders

Easy Front Porch Fall Decor
I would say I'm a seasonal decorator.  It's a really easy way to change up what your home looks like without a ton of expense.  As I gear up for fall (one of my favorites), I have a collection of items I bring out for 3 months.  I figure I have this fall stuff, I should bring it out Sept-Nov at least.  I will bring out some accents for Halloween but if it's a pumpkin, leaves, etc - it's out for all 3!  I like to look at the stuff I have and ponder how I could make it different to fit the season.  I have seen people decorate with mum which I love and with pumpkin buckets.  I just wanted my pumpkin bucket to look a little more real and as you'll see in the end it'll work great for Halloween too!… (0 comment)

Natural Fall Decor With Leaves
Fall leaves are so beautiful, especially if you are lucky enough to live in a place where there are so many colors.  I have preserved fall leaves so many different ways - drying them, ironing them in wax paper, and Mod Podge preserving them.  After you do all the preserving what to do with them?  This year I'm using some natural fall decor in my home.  I have pinecones on my mantel, and I wanted to do something with leaves.  I have had this branch for a few years know trying to thing of the right project - then I realized - this is it!!!  Find out what I'm doing now... … (4 comments)
