Do you want to make a Dollar Tree snowman wreath? I have not only 1 but 2 easy versions to share with you!

I have made 2 different snowman wreaths and wanted to share them both with you.  One is super easy and great for kids, and the other one lights up.  Either way, the great thing about these wreaths instead of a DIY Christmas wreaths is that they can stay up all winter long and beyond the holiday season!

Dollar Tree Snowman Wreath Materials

Dollar Tree Snowman Wreath Instructions

Light Up Snowman Wreath

You’ll need 2 different size willow wreaths

Spray paint the wreaths – I used silver paint.

Use floral wire or something else you might have to tie the wreaths together.

Use some tinsel garland to make a scarf. Tie it around the neck and hot glue the bottom ends to the bottom wreath to hold it in place.

Use some additional accessories to decorate your snowman. I used a hat I found at Dollar Tree in the ornament section and some berries from a branch from Dollar tree that had a clip on it.

I used my hot glue gun and glued the hat onto the top, broke the branches apart, and glued them in different spots of the wreath.

Add some battery-operated LED lights. I bought a package of snowflake LED battery-operated lights from Dollar Tree and hot glued them into place on the back of the bottom wreath. If I had bought a longer set I would have glued them to the top wreath as well.

I opted to add a bow onto the front of the snowman to better hid the battery back glued to the back of the neck. Hang your wreath up.

Turn your lights on and enjoy.

Super Easy Snowman Wreath

Since the wreath was green, I wrapped it in gauze in case it poked through the tinsel. I found I wouldn’t have necessarily needed this step as the tinsel did sufficient coverage. I secured the gauze with some hot glue but you could use any glue you want.

Next wrap the tinsel around the wreath and secure it with glue.

You could stop here if you want or go on to make the snowman…

Using your magnet sheet & marker, make your snowman face.

I set the wreath on top of the sheet when deciding how big to make the carrot nose and mouth. Cut the face out.

I tried an orange permanent marker to color in, but as you can see it wasn’t solid enough so I cut orange construction paper and glued it on top. You could use a button here and glue it on a magnet as well. If you want, make several faces out of the magnet so it can be changed up and fun for kids. Create more items for this snowman like a winter hat.

Next hang it on a door, refrigerator, or anything with metal on it. My wreath is hanging on a magnetic hook on my front door. This is a super easy project, and it’s a great way for kids to get involved during this wonderful time of year!
